Our Marinas, Boat Builders and related business account is written 100% within the Lloyd's market in London. Risks can be considered on a worldwide basis excluding liabilities in the US.
Our small but specialist team offer a practical and knowledgeable approach to both basic and more complicated risks.
The types of risks we cover are: -
Individual Yacht Construction risks
Leisure Resort Complexes
Our current Marina Insurance Package consists of: -
Buildings & Contents
All buildings and contents can be included. Whilst we look for a good standard of construction, terms can be offered on non-standard construction buildings.
Included within this are breakwaters, fixed and floating pontoons, walkways etc. The option of a first loss basis can be considered for higher sums insured.
Third Party Liability
Both ashore and afloat including general third party, marina operators, boat repairers and products cover. In addition to general third party property damage and slip & fall this section can be extended to include the lifting and movement of vessels, legal liability whilst repairs to craft are being carried out, and products cover for parts/items fitted and or sold via chandlery shops etc.
We ask Proposers to confirm that their business is profitable. It is important that adequate consideration be given to the sums insured.
We insist that all lifting equipment and slings carry an inspection certificate, which should be renewed at least every 12 months.
Vessels under Construction
We can arrange cover on an individual or production build basis. Monthly declarations will produce very competitive premiums.
Vessels (including workboats and small hire fleets)
Workboats can include launches, barges, dredgers etc. Hire craft used both inshore and at coastal facilities can be considered.
Whilst kept on the premises or in transit to and from the bank. Cover available at Directors' private residences.
Goods in Transit
Both regular and irregular transits can be included, both on inland and overseas shipments.
